Q. How does the site work?
A. The Lime Bar provides a way to find and communicate with people of your choice. All you have to do is choose a username and create a profile describing yourself and the type of person/people you are looking for. Simply view other profiles by searching the site and in turn they can view your profile. When you find someone that has the same interests you, you can send them a message via the site. The message is sent to them from your username (your real name and email address are never shown) and you can also receive messages from other members username into your email inbox. When you are ready, you may choose to tell the other member your real contact details.

Q. How much is it to become a member?
A. The Lime Bar membership IS NOW ABSOLUTELY FREE!!

Q. Will my privacy be respected?
A. Absolutely, your real name and email address are hidden to members at all times. It is entirely up to you whether you choose to disclose your real contact details to other members.

Q. Can I change my profile?
A. Yes, you can also change your username. Just click on the edit profile link when you log in and follow the edit instructions.

Q. Can I hide my profile if I do not want to use the site for a while?
A. Yes, go to edit profile and click your profile status to Not Active, when you are ready to come back to the site, you just need to change this back to Active.

Q. Can I totally delete my profile from the site?
A. Effectively yes, only profiles set to Active are displayed on the web site.

Q. I’ve forgotten my password – can you send me it?
A. Yes, just click on forgotten password and follow the instructions, we will send your password to the personal email address given when you first registered.

Q. Can I search for a specific member?
A. Yes, you can search for another member using their username on the search facility.

Q. I don’t seem to be getting any results when I search, why is this?
A. This could be because you are being too strict in your search, try widening your requirements (e.g. age) for a better result.

Q. How do I stop someone from sending me messages?
A. Just go to their profile and click on block this member, if they try to contact you again they will see a note saying that you are unavailable.

Q. Will my photo and profile be shown on the site straight away?
A. No, all profiles are checked first by our support staff and your profile will be visible within 24 hours. We reserve the right to delete or modify unacceptable profiles i.e. those that contain contact information, are obscene, racist or attack religions.

Q. Can I send a message to another member without having to go to their profile each time?
A. Yes, just add the member to your favourites list and click on the contact link.

Q. I deleted a message in my inbox by mistake, can you retrieve it?
A. No, sorry, once emails are deleted they cannot be retrieved.
